June 9, 2019 - Jezernice 1 Haná Prostějov 2

June 9, 2019 - Olomoucký kraj 1 B třída - 7th tier
Jezernice 1 Haná Prostějov 2
Attendance - 85

This was my first trip to Jezernice, and the only new ground for me this season while watching Haná Prostějov.  Jezernice is located between Hranice and Lipník, kind of wedged between the old motorway to Ostrava, and the new motorway.  The population is around 600.  For me, the worst part was getting off at the Jezernice bus stop on the old motorway.  I ended up walking around 40 minutes to the ground, which is located outside of the village.

The match was one of my best experiences at a football match, and most certainly the best over the past few years.  Haná only had 2 points from their first 12 matches, but ended up with 34 from their final 14.  They were in last place by at least 10 points, but ended up finished in 9th place.

For this match, they really needed a win to keep their hopes up of not being relegated.  They gave up a goal late in the match to make it 1-1 and it looked like it was going to go to penalties.  However, Patrik Gábor, scored on a free kick just outside of the box on the last kick of the match to help Haná avoid relegation.  This looked all but impossible back in late October.  Patrik Gábor scored 20 goals in 14 matches during the 2nd half of the season and was one of the keys to Hana's safety. He had spent the first half with 5th tier Kralice n.H.

May 12, 2019 - Sokol Pivín 1 Haná Prostějov 4

May 12, 2019 - Olomoucký kraj 1 B třída - 7th tier
Sokol Pivín 1 Haná Prostějov 4
Attendance - 85

The first few weeks of May were incredibly cold for the time of year, and my trip to Pivín was no different.  Train connections were not the easiest despite Pivín only being 15km away, so I decided to head out on my bike.  The village is connected to Prostějov with a few decent bike paths.   Unfortunately, it was cold and rainy for the whole trip.

Pivín usually gets around 150 people for each home match, but as the weather was bad, most seemed to stay at home.  Pivín were battling for promotion, and Haná against relegation, but on the day Haná were clearly the best side.  I could not have been happier as I have a strong dislike of the Pivín football team.

The last picture is from the Skalka Spa where I stopped for some spa water, which smells very stongly like eggs.
