I've been to Konice a number of times over the past few years, but this was the first time I've been there over the winter. It is an easy enough place to reach from Prostějov, as it is only a 45 minute train ride away. It is a small town of a few thousand, and they are best known for knocking out Sigma Olomouc during 2nd round of the 2007/08 Czech Cup on penalties. I still have nightmares from that day.

As its winter here in the Czech Republic, all games are played on artificial grass. The pitch is slightly different, as it was built into the side of the hill. As such, the viewing area for the spectators is a walkway which stands about 10 feet above the pitch.

The game was played at a good intensity for a friendly, but I guess that isn't saying much. It was a little on the cold side, and I had to stand in a pile of snow to watch the game. The only goal of was scored in the first half.
