Mar 26, 2016 - 3rd tier - Vyškov 1 Zlín B 3

Mar 26, 2016
MSFL - 3rd tier
Vyškov 1 Zlín B 3
Attendance - 283

First of all, sorry about my camera as the pictures seem to be a little fuzzy in one corner.

I caught the 2nd half of the game, but the stadium in Vyškov is definitely not one of my favourites.  The huge athletics track around the pitch might have something to do with that.  Only 283 people were at the game which is a shame because the weather was perfect and the football was decent.

March 26, 2016 - Okresní Přebor Vyškov - Dědice 0 Brankovice 3

March 26, 2016
Okresní Přebor Vyškov - 8th tier
Sokol Dědice 0 Brankovice 3
Attendance - 65

Dědice is a small village near Vyškov.  It is an easy walk of around 45 minutes from the Vyškov main train station.  The village is probably best known in the Czech Republic for a rather large military base located a few kilometers from the football stadium.  The stadium itself is quite good for the 8th tier with a nice pitch and decent facilities.  I was a little surprised to pay 25kc for a ticket, because most games at this level are 15kc.

Hockey arena in Vyškov na Moravě

The arena was built in 1973, but hasn't been home to a men's team (in the hockey pyramid) since MBK Vyškov folded after the 2009-10 season when they played in the 4th tier.  The stadium has a capacity of 3,000.  The city wants to rebuilt the arena at a cost of 169 million crowns at some point in the near future.  Currently, the arena has a classic feel to it, and seems to have had little to no work done on it over the past 7 years.  Stepping into the arena is like stepping back in time.

February 7, 2016 - Friendly - HFK Olomouc 1 Ústí u Hranic 2

Februarz 7, 2016
HFK Olomouc (III) 1 Ústí u Hranic (V) 2
Attendance - 25

Holice is a part of Olomouc and has a population of around 6,400.  The football pitch is located just off the main road.  If you do not have a car, Holice can be reached by bus from the main train station.

HFK Olomouc was a decent little club that bounced between the 2nd and 3rd divisions for a few years.  However, they are struggling a little now on and off the field.  A perfect example was watching them lose to a 5th division side.

Of interest to some is that Marek Heinz is still playing for HFK.  He is now 38 years old but he has played for Sigma Olomouc, Hamburger, Dukla Prague, Ostrava, Borussia Monchengladbach, Galatasary, Saint-Etienne, Nantes and he has 30 caps for the Czech national team.  Marek is from Olomouc so it makes sense for him to play for a local side as his playing days wind down.

I hate winter friendlies, which is why I have not been posting as much as of late.

Nov 15, 2015 - Mostkovice 2 Slatinice 3

November 15, 2015
Mostkovice 2 Slatinice 3 (6th tier)
Attendance - 50

A freezing and wet November day.  It was the last game of the Autumn season for me, and it ended up being quite entertaining.  Most people were huddled around the bar drinking beer despite the weather.  A few other people were sitting under the only covered stand, and few hardy people were standing out in the rain.
