May 23, 2015 - 8th tier - Držovice 2 Haná Prostějov 1

May 23, 2015
Okres Prostějov - II třída - 8th tier
Držovice 2 Haná Prostějov 1
Attendance - 25

Držovice is a village right next to Prostějov with a population of 1,200.  It is one of my least favourite grounds, and the less said about it the better.  Haná needed 3pts to keep up with first place Nezamyslice.  Unfortunately, Haná only started to play the last 10 minutes of the game and probably deserved the loss.  They now sit 7pts back of Nezamyslice with 3 rounds left.

May 24, 2015 - 7th tier - Kostelec na Hané 3 Přerov B 1

May 24, 2015
Olomoucký Kraj I B třída - 7th tier
Kostelec na Hané 3 Přerov B 1
Attendance - 75

Kostelec na Hané is a small town of around 3,000 people located 5km from Prostějov.  I have been to Kostelec numerous times, but this was the first time in about 3 years.   The facilities are quite basic, but the pitch is fantastic.

Slavkov u Brna

Slavkov u Brna is a town more known for the near-by Battle of Austerlitz and a beautiful chateau rather than football.  The club (founded 1921) currently plays in the Czech Republic 6th tier, but the facitilies are very good for the level.  The main stand has a capacity of 500, while the ground can hold up to 3,000. So far this season they only have 2 wins and sit in last place.  In the 2004/05 season, they played in the 5th tier.  The biggest success of that club was in 1999/2000 when they won promotion to the 4th tier (Divize).

May 3, 2015 - Nohejbal Extraliga Dorost - Prostejov vs Start Prague

May 3, 2015
Prostejov vs Start Prague
Attendance - 2

I took my 4-year old boy out on Sunday morning.  We usually head to a football match, but we weren't able to get out of the city.  Instead, we went to a nohejbal match and apparently we were the only people to have this idea.  Nohejball as an interesting sport, and definitely a good way to spend a few hours on a Sunday morning.

April 25, 2015 - Okresní Přebor Prostějov - Skalka 0 Haná Prostějov 3

April 25, 2015
Okresní Přebor Prostějov - 8th tier
Skalka 0 Haná Prostějov 3
Attendance - 110

Skalka is a small spa village of around 250 people located about 10km south of Prostějov.  Their football team started in the 10th tier 3 years ago but the village does not have a football pitch.  In their first year they play in Výšovice, but for the past 2 years they have played in Klenovice na Hané.  The distance between Klenovice na Hané and Skalka is around 4km, and it looked like half of the village showed up yesterday.

As for the game, Haná dominated much of the first half, and deserved the three points.  On a side note, Haná must be one of the oldest teams in the league, but they are probably the strongest.  Their captain is 52-years old and he still starts and plays 90 minutes most games.  Hopefully, they will be promoted this year, as they are making a strong push.
