I try to make a few Prostějov away matches a season, and as luck would have it, I was able to get to Juliánov a few weeks back.  Juliánov is a part of Brno located on the outskirts of the city.  It is probably best known for the 300m hill, Bilá Hora which has nice views of Brno.

Juliánov play their home matches at the local sokol, but they do not have a proper hall.  I assume not long ago, they only had an outdoor playing surface, but now they have an outdoor surface covered by an air bubble.  Not the best places to watch a sport event. 

Stadion v sportovní ulici in Prostejov

Time for my yearly look at the old Stadion v sportovni ulici in Prostějov.  Built in 1931, and officially closed in 2006.  I say officially, because the SK Prostějov U19 team did play a few matches at the stadium in 2007.  Reconstruction to the stadium happened in 1940 and 1974.  Capacity is listed at 7500, but only around 600 with seats.  The stadium did have a restaurant which had to close in 2004 when power was cut. 

As you can see, the stadium is still standing, and has been made a home to a few homeless people.  There is talk that it could be renovated, but that would take a rather large investment.
